Dr. Frank Ostendorf

Dr. Frank Ostendorf studied physics at the University of Osnabrück and received his doctorate there in 2008 with a focus on surface physics and nanotechnology. Between 2006 and 2008 he also worked as a consultant for RHK-Technology in the field of engineering and customer support for scanning probe microscopes.

Since 2008, he has been an expert in fundamental contact physics and tribological issues of connector systems and has published numerous articles in this specialist field in national and international journals and books as well as at relevant conferences.

After working in the technology laboratory of Weidmüller Interface GmbH & Co. KG and managing material and damage analysis at HARTING AG & Co. KG, he is now responsible for pre-development for “Terminals & Connectors” at TE Connectivity Germany GmbH and is working on innovative topics in the field of automotive connectors.
